Massif Nature – booking conditions
a)
Bookings
and accommodation:
1. All prices are based on sharing of a double- or twin-bedded room.
A single person supplement is payable for sole occupancy of a twin or double room.
- A deposit of £110 per person, plus single
supplement where applicable, must accompany all completed booking forms. This deposit is non-returnable and non-transferable.
The balance of payment will be required in Euros, and can be sent by way of a bank transfer (contact us for details - you
will have to pay a small charge). The exact sum will depend upon the current
exchange rate.
- Provisional bookings will be held open
for 14 days to allow you time to complete and forward the booking form and / or transfer the deposit.
- All outstanding monies should be paid
at least two calendar months before the start of your holiday. If you book less than two calendar months before your holiday,
full payment will be required immediately.
- Upon receipt of a completed form and /
or payment we will confirm your booking in writing or by email within 2 weeks. We
will advise you of a date for expected full payment (if required).
- The person signing the booking form is
responsible for all those included on it. When you make a group booking, you guarantee that you have the authority to accept,
and do accept, on behalf of your party, the terms of these booking conditions. A contract will exist as soon as we issue our
confirmation invoice. This contract is made on the terms of these booking conditions.
- If, after our confirmation invoice has
been issued, you wish to change your holiday arrangements, we will do our utmost to make these changes, but it may not always
be possible. Any requests for changes to be made must be made in writing (an email will suffice) from the person who made
the booking at least 6 weeks prior to commencement.
- For all-inclusive
holidays, items included in the price are: accommodation, copious breakfast (continental), packed lunch (except on one
day – usually Thursday - during all-inclusive week-long stays, when visitors will have the morning to themselves and
be expected to purchase their own lunch) and 4-course evening meal with house wine; transportation from airport or
rail way station (check with us before you book); guiding; and any entrance fees (where applicable). Transportation from site to site is free. The vehicle used
will depend upon group size. Items not included are: additional items purchased by individuals, e.g. hot and cold beverages
and any snacks/meals (other than those already included), souvenirs, unplanned entrance fees, etc.
- Cancellation by us: It is extremely unlikely that we will have
to make changes to your holiday, but we do plan the arrangements many weeks or even months in advance. Occasionally, we may
have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor and where possible
we will advise you at the earliest opportunity. We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your holiday. However, we will not cancel your holiday less than 28 days before departure date,
except for reasons of force of nature or failure by you to pay the final balance. If we are unable to provide the booked holiday
arrangements you can either have a refund of all monies paid to us or accept an offer of a comparable holiday from us, if
available. If it is necessary to cancel your holiday, we will refund to you all monies you paid to us in full. Should major
changes to the itinerary occur, participants will be advised and may withdraw without penalty.
Any changes that are beyond our control whilst the holiday is in progress and incur additional costs (such as weather
delays, strikes, acts of war, act of nature, terrorism, or any other cause beyond our control) are the responsibility of the
participants.
- Cancellation by you: You, or any member of your party, may cancel your tour arrangements at any time. Written notification from the person
who made the booking must be received by us. Cancellations more than 60 days in advance of departure will result in loss of
deposit only. Thereafter, the following charges will normally apply: 29-60 days: 50% of total costs. 0 - 28 days: 100% of total costs.
a)
Restrictions
and liability:
- Massif Nature regrets that no pets may
be brought. There is a “no smoking” policy in the house and in vehicles.
- Massif Nature’s responsibilities
start after your arrival at Les Frênes, unless we collect you from an airport or
rail station. It ends after breakfast on the final day of your holiday, unless
we will be transporting you to an airport/rail station.
- At any time whilst you are with us, you
are obliged to abide by the authority of the tour leader. If, in the opinion of the tour leader, your behaviour is detrimental
to the welfare and safety of the group, or you commit any illegal act, they have the right to dismiss you from the holiday,
giving you no right to any refund. We can assume no responsibility for loss or expense incurred by you in consequence for
such dismissal. You participate in our tours entirely at your own risk. We assume
no liability for loss, damage or theft of your belongings or for personal injury, accidents or illness unless it can be shown
to have been the direct result of our negligence (see below). We cannot accept
responsibility for the actions and omissions of those involved in your holiday over whom we have no direct control. We can
also assume no responsibility for loss or expense due to war, riots, strikes, terrorist activity or natural disasters.
- The animal and plant species listed in
the itineraries are meant as a guide only and are not guaranteed to be present. However, we will do our very best to fulfil
all of your expectations.
Insurance advice:
Although clients are insured against loss or injury sustained due to any negligence on the part of
Massif Nature, it is very much in your own interest to take out travel insurance at the time of booking. This avoids problems should your medical circumstance change significantly, and also offers some protection
against cancellation charges such as the non-refundable deposit.
